The goal
What we found
Your website went down with a critical error for several days this month
What it costs: For those days, every visitor, including anyone finding you through "electrician Subiaco", where you rank position 4, hit a dead page instead of a hundred-year-old business. It's back now, but WordPress critical errors like this usually come from a plugin or theme update, and without finding the actual cause, it can happen again.
The fix: Get your host or developer to check the PHP error log from around 7 to 11 September to find what caused it, so it doesn't repeat.
You already rank position 4 for "electrician Subiaco". That almost went to waste.
What it costs: That ranking is real, earned visibility built over a hundred years of trading, and it was pointing straight at a dead page for days. Most of the hard work here is already done, it just needs a working page behind it.
The fix: Nothing extra needed here beyond keeping the site up, this ranking is already yours.
No star rating or review count shown anywhere on your own site
What it costs: A hundred years of trading and real proof, and none of it is a number a new visitor can see in three seconds. A star rating and review count next to your testimonials does more to build trust at that moment than the quotes alone.
The fix: Add your actual star rating and review count directly above your testimonials.
A genuine point of difference sitting in front of 149 people
What it costs: Almost no other electrician has this niche, and it's sitting in front of 149 people. That's a reach problem, not a content problem, the actual content is good.
The fix: Once the site's stable, link every post straight back to it and put a little paid reach behind your best restoration videos.
The maths
One fix, done for you
Hey, thanks for taking a look at the audit.
I only spent about half an hour on your digital presence and found these four things. They're not the biggest issues out there, but they all add up to how you rank and how you show up online.
If you want to go deeper, I'd love to take a proper look at your paid ads, specifically Google and Meta, and hear a bit about your business and where you want to take it, whether there's a revenue number you're chasing. We specialise in Perth service businesses, tradies and schools included.
If any of this is worth a conversation, send me a message below and I'll give you a call.
Thanks,
Chris
